Lovett "Vett" Evans is a Bronx-born music industry professional with a passion for producing music. Inspired by the golden era of hip-hop and his father's musical background, Vett's journey as a producer began at the age of 14 when he discovered Fruityloops. Grasping various Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) like Protools, Logic, and Reason, Vett expanded his skills and incorporated them into his work.
In 2005, Vett started interning at Mantis Media (formerly Native), initially performing mundane tasks. However, his dedication caught the attention of the CEO Craig Chan, who gradually involved him in recording sessions. Vett's perseverance paid off when he assisted in recording a TV commercial jingle, "Baby Bottle Pop."
During his senior year in high school, Vett co-founded the record label Xposja Entertainment. As the label's music producer, he cultivated a diverse range of styles, embracing flexibility and avoiding being labeled as one-dimensional. Vett's role expanded to include audio engineering as he not only produced but also recorded and mixed songs for the label's nine artists.
In 2008, Vett joined Audemus Enterprises as an audio engineer, working with numerous notable artists such as Maino, Troy Ave, Uncle Murda, and Smoke DZA. Forming Da MVPz with partners Rene "Melo" Lopez and Frank "Keylow" Santiago, they produced records for artists like Axel, Haddy Rackz, and Bodega Bamz. Vett's in-studio collaboration with Johnny Cervani caught the attention of Atlantic Records' Head of Urban Music, leading to a co-production credit on the crossover single "In My City" and his first royalty checks.
In 2017, Vett established Amori Sounds, a production music/publishing company. His music has since been featured on TV shows like Bad Girls Club, Dr. Miami, and Black Ink Crew. Vett also signed composers to Amori Sounds, focusing on sync licensing as his area of expertise.
Realizing the need to support local Bronx artists, Vett launched Boogie Down Synch in 2020. The agency aims to provide visibility and monetization opportunities for emerging Bronx musicians through sync licensing.
In 2021, Vett accepted the role of Artist Collabs Music Producer with Marmoset Music’s creative services team, developing an original music catalog with recording artists and composers refining his skills for superior composition in the advertisement sector.
In 2023, Vett continues to enhance the Amori Sounds brand, releasing artist-featured EPs and securing licensing spots for various projects, including A&E's Hip-Hop Treasures and Epic Games' Fortnite. He also accepted a freelance role as a Music Director/Supervisor for Toronto-based company Grayson Music, overseeing the production process and composing original music for their catalog, "The Music Assembly".
